National Labor Relations Board: Updates

NJ LERA is excited to host NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo, along with Union-side attorney Arnold Shep Cohen (Oxfeld Cohen), and Management-side attorney James La Rocca (Hunton Andrews) to discuss hot topics in the NLRB. The Democratic-led NLRB has issued a series of decisions including Cemex (election processes and burdens of proof), McLaren Macomb (impacting settlement agreements in the union and non-union settings), Stericycle (investigative confidentiality during investigations and work rules), and Wendt (employer unilateral changes) reversing Trump Board’s precedent-shattering decisions in the area of representation matters. While the NLRB handles only private sector matters, the NJ PERC and other public labor boards often follow NLRB precedent for guidance. For that reason, we encourage public sector practitioners to attend and learn what developments might be coming down the pike. Don’t miss this exciting program!
