February 2026 -- Independent Contractor Classification and the ABC Test

Please join the N.J. Chapter of LERA on February 11th as we welcome the N.J. Commissioner of Labor, Robert Asaro-Angelo.  The event will focus on the current debate over independent contractor classification, with particular attention to the ABC test. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue regarding enforcement, impact on workers, employers, and specific industries.  The evening’s focus is to bring a clearer understanding of the ABC test as well as a better grasp of the balance between worker protections and economic competitiveness.
